What Reading Lists Cost and What Shapes the Price

Reading Lists are part of the app, so the real question is which plan you need. Here is what you pay, what changes the figure and where it can stay at nothing.

Is there a separate price for Reading Lists

No. Reading Lists is a feature of the app, not something sold on its own. You save the stories you want to read next, keep your favourites together in one place and come back to them whenever you like. What you pay depends on the plan you hold, and the list simply comes along with it.

I am Imran, and I edit chapters, but I also hear the same question from readers again and again: does the list cost extra? It does not. There is no add-on, no per-list fee and no charge for saving one more story. The only money question is whether you stay on the free tier or move to the paid subscription.

That keeps the picture simple. You decide how much of the catalogue you want to read, and the list follows that choice.

What the free tier lets you do with a list

The free tier gives you the first chapter of any story. That matters for lists, because a list is most useful when you are still deciding. You can open Chapter 1 of several stories, see which voice and pace appeal to you, and save the ones you want to return to.

In practice many readers use the free tier as a trial shelf. They sample a slow-burn romance, a family secret drama and a revenge story, then keep the two that stayed in their mind.

Nothing here forces a purchase. A list full of stories you have only sampled costs nothing, and you can leave it that way for as long as you wish.

  • Read Chapter 1 of any story at no charge
  • Save stories to decide later
  • No time limit on how long a list stays

What the paid subscription changes

The paid subscription opens the full catalogue. That is where the price starts to matter, because a list of ten saved stories is only worth keeping if you can read past the first chapter of each. With the subscription, every title on your list is open from start to finish.

The monthly and yearly prices are set out on the Prices page, in rupees, together with what each tier includes. I will not repeat figures here so that you always see the current ones in one place.

Think of it this way: the list is free to build, and the subscription is what lets you finish what you saved.

What actually drives the cost for you

Three things decide what you spend. The first is how many stories you really read to the end. A reader who finishes a story a week gets more from a subscription than someone who dips in once a month.

The second is billing length. Paying monthly keeps your commitment small and easy to stop. Paying yearly usually works out lower per month, but asks you to be sure you will keep reading.

The third is how long your list is. A long list of unread stories can feel like value, yet it only becomes value once you read them. Keep the list honest, and your spending tends to match your reading.

  • How many stories you finish each month
  • Monthly or yearly billing
  • How honest your list is about what you will read

A simple way to decide before paying

Start on the free tier and build a list of six or seven stories you are curious about. Read Chapter 1 of each over a week or two, on your commute or in a quiet evening. Notice which ones you keep thinking about.

If three or more are stories you are eager to continue, the subscription is likely to pay for itself in your own reading time. If only one pulls you in, the free tier may be enough for now, and you can return when a new chapter or title catches your eye.

This is a decision about your habits, not about the app. I would rather you pay for stories you finish than for a catalogue you only admire.

Cancelling, refunds and keeping your lists

If you subscribe and later change your mind, you can cancel, and the rules for billing and refunds are written out on the Refund policy page in plain language. Reader Support can also answer questions about your plan if something is unclear.

One point readers ask about is what happens to a list after cancelling. Your saved stories are your own choices, and a list is not something you are charged to keep. What changes is how much of each story you can open without a subscription.

So there is little risk in building lists early. The money only comes into it when you decide to read further.

Reading Lists cost nothing by themselves. You build them on the free tier, and what you pay is the price of the plan that lets you finish the stories you saved. Count the stories you truly want to read, choose monthly or yearly to match that, and check the Prices page for the current figures. Spend on what you will finish, and let the list stay as a quiet shelf of things you look forward to.
